Archiviale_001, curated by Mariuccia Casadio, is the first chapter of a research project that aims to reconstruct over seventy years of history of private galleries in Milan with their artistic choices, international relations, avant-garde events, and encounters with artists. On display are photographic images, invitation tickets, small catalogs, papers, and correspondence. Promoted by the Milan Art Community, the network that brings together the most important galleries and institutions in the city of Milan, and hosted in the spaces of the Archives of the Twentieth Century, on the 4th floor of the Museum of the Twentieth Century, this project is also the first piece of a collaboration between public institutions and the most interesting private collective initiatives.

The exhibition is among the events of Milan Art Week (8 - 14 April 2024), the widespread event coordinated by the Municipality of Milan in collaboration with miart, the modern and contemporary art fair of Milan, which networks the main public and private institutions, with a program full of activities and projects, enriching the city's cultural landscape with collateral events that confirm Milan as a privileged place for the exploration and investigation of contemporary languages.
