The Malmö Castle, also known as Malmöhus, is a medieval fortress located in Malmö, Sweden. Built in the 15th century, it is now the oldest Renaissance castle in Scandinavia and houses the Malmö Museum, which includes exhibitions on natural history, art, and culture. The original fortress was erected in 1434 by Eric of Pomerania, but the current building dates back to the 16th century when it was rebuilt by Christian III of Denmark.
The Malmö Castle is home to the Malmö Museum, which includes the Natural History Museum with a vast collection of stuffed birds, and the City Museum, displaying artifacts from Malmö's cultural past, including objects from the medieval and Renaissance periods.
Within the castle, visitors can admire the dungeons, the rooms of the old castle, and exhibitions on various themes, including the history of the castle itself.
