The Foundation is located in the historic center of Catania and is a reference point for art. Established in 2004 by Alfio Puglisi Cosentino, the Foundation works in favor of ancient, modern and contemporary art, with the purpose of study, education and pleasure. The Foundation occupies the internal courtyard, the second and third floors of Palazzo Valle in Catania, a building among the most representative of the Sicilian Baroque. The atrium houses two permanent works by Giovanni Anselmo and Jannis Kounellis, historical exponents of poor art. The internal courtyard, intended for sculptural works, houses a large helical metal pillar by Jannis Kounellis himself and a 6-meter work by Carla Accardi. The Foundation organizes temporary exhibitions, meetings, workshops, conferences, didactic, study and research activities. It also promotes relations between artists and the public, including non-professionals, contributing to the enhancement of its territory and favoring openings to other experiences.
