The Whipple Museum of the History of Science, founded in 1944, is a museum run by the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

It owes its name to its founder, Robert Whipple, an English businessman and trader of scientific objects.

It houses a large collection of apparatus, images, photographs, prints, scientific instruments, books and models relating to the history of science. The Whipple Museum of the History of Science collection takes on such historical value that it has been described as being of national and international significance. In particular, inside the museum, there is a vast collection of objects dating from the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries including astronomical instruments, navigation, surveying, drawing and calculation, sundials, mathematical instruments and the first electrical appliances. Being part of the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge, the museum is also an important research and educational center.

In addition to the original collection put together by founder Robert Whipple, today the museum also collects many tools formerly used in the colleges and departments of the University of Cambridge.
