A collection of paintings, icons, illuminated manuscripts, sculptures, goldsmithing, fabrics, and much more, just a stone's throw from Piazza Loggia, in the heart of the city.

The Museo Diocesano di Brescia houses masterpieces by great Masters of painting such as il Moretto, il Romanino, Floriano Ferramola, Antonio Vivarini, Tiziano, Andrea Celesti, and many others. The collection is located in the spaces around the main cloister of the ancient monastic complex of San Giuseppe. Inside the museum, there is a strong naturalistic component - in addition to the cultural one - as the same types of plants and aromatic herbs that were cultivated by the monks since the 16th century are still present. This combination of history, art, nature, architecture, and faith results in a place of extraordinary beauty, promoting the contemporaneity of the Sacred and bringing together voices, opinions, and different audiences.
