At the Museum of Santa Giulia, as part of Testimoni, the 7th edition of the Brescia Photo Festival, from April 23 to September 1, it will be possible to visit the exhibition Gabriele Micalizzi. Legacy. Matter-History-Identity, dedicated to a photographer who has combined war reportage with various humanitarian, social, and artistic photographic projects.
In his art, Gabriele Micalizzi brings out the material aspect of photography and the concreteness of the image as created through light.Starting from his work as a reporter and a specific editorial use, the photographer presents a selection of images taken during contemporary events, analyzing the evolution of support and language.
