From 21 September to 4 May 2025
Ai Weiwei, a Chinese artist always committed to defending human rights, presents his first solo exhibition in Bologna: "Ai Weiwei. Who am I?".
Promoted by Fondazione Carisbo within the cultural project Genus Bononiae and produced by Opera Laboratori in collaboration with Galleria Continua, the exhibition is curated by Arturo Galansino. As the title suggests, inspired by a conversation of the artist with artificial intelligence, the exhibition at Palazzo Fava presents the artist and his creative universe, in a continuous tension between tradition and experimentation, conservation and destruction. Ai Weiwei's commitment and constant search for truth, which has led him to be a political persecuted, combined with his ability to use a wide range of media to express complex and provocative ideas, make this exhibition a fundamental event in the contemporary art scene.
