The Contemporary Art Gallery of the Pro Civitate Christian of Assisi is located in the historic center of the city. The Gallery houses a collection that focuses on contemporary art and the iconography of Jesus. The first nucleus is formed with the acquisition of photographs of ancient and contemporary art. Today the Gallery has a total of 700 works of sculpture and painting by contemporary artists and over 1300 graphics. Certainly of great interest are the artists Carlo Carrà, Giorgio De Chirico, Franco Gentilini, Emilio Greco and many others. Among the most famous works present we find the "Miserere" by Georges Rouault. The iconography section is composed of photographs of works with an ancient and contemporary Christological subject. Finally, a small section collects children's drawings made in collaboration with scholars and photographers. The Gallery hosts temporary exhibitions and educational activities aimed at schools in particular.
