the canvas shows a glimpse of the countryside slightly sloping, animated by trees and bushes projected against the background of a clear blue sky. In the foreground, a barefoot peasant girl, with a blue apron and a wide-brimmed hat, is bending over to collect the grass. Compared to the previous two, the painting - the first of the nineteenth century purchased by Luigi Grieco -, while confirming Fattori's interest in the effects of light at different times of the day, does not exhibit the same chromatic contrasts nor does it resort to the pictorial virtuosity of light. filtered present in these, but represents the countryside illuminated by a zenith light.
