The Scavi Scaligeri International Photography Center is a suggestive archaeological area, rich in Roman, Lombard and medieval remains. Since 1996 it has been destined to host photographic art, opening in Verona a space that is finally suitable for photography exhibitions. The exhibition venue provides a unique setting not only for traditional events, such as exhibitions of national and international artists, but also for thematic workshops, educational itineraries for adults and children, photography courses, shows that link their contents to the material from time to time exposed. The Documentation Center for Photography is also under construction, consisting of a thematic library and will have as its main objective the coordination for the archiving and subsequent digitization of all the photographic heritage owned by the various cultural institutions. Educational tours and workshops are also held at the International Center of Photography Scavi Scaligeri.
