Museum of the Cathedral Treasury runs in a’ wing of the Archbishop's Palace richly frescoed in the sixteenth century and tells the story of thousands of years of the Diocese of Vercelli.
It offers a half-yearly review Walking through sacred and layman series of cultural events for adults and children dedicated to the discovery of the heritage museum and the library stored in’ adjoining Chapter Library. L’ exhibition includes works of jewelry, furnishings and liturgical furnishings, textiles, paintings mostly coming from the Cathedral of St. Eusebius. Each work is related to important moments in the history of Vercelli, not only religiously, but also social, political and artistic, for the long period from the third to the twentieth century.
The complexityà the collection allows to offer various public ordinary and extraordinary events often made in collaboration with museums, local authorities, universitiesà national and international. In addition to guided tours and educational workshops offered routinely at schools, are often organized targeted visits to the knowledge of particular periods or aspects, lectures, workshops and laboratories for adults.
The Museumè also open to new technological frontiers in the field of preservation and study of cultural heritage as they are often part of national and international scientific projects.
