LE STANZE DEL VETRO is a cultural project and a permanent exhibition space, designed by Annabelle Selldorf Architects, located on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, born in the summer of 2012 from the collaboration between Fondazione Giorgio Cini and Pentagram Stiftung, dedicated to the study and enhancement of modern and contemporary glass art.

The project has the specific aim of bringing glass back to the center of international artistic debate and scene, showcasing the countless potential of this material. The cultural initiatives of LE STANZE DEL VETRO are dedicated both to promoting contemporary artists who have used glass as an original expressive medium and medium of their own poetics, and to the enhancement and study of the main producers and the most important glass collections in the world.

Every year, two exhibitions are held: the first, in spring, dedicated to the use of glass in the fields of art and design of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries; the second, during the autumn, dedicated to the talents who in the twentieth century designed and planned for the Venini glassworks.
