The Tina Modotti Gallery is located in the historic center of the city of Udine in the former Fish Market. The historic Art Nouveau building, home to the fish market until the 1990s, has been a permanent space since 2009 for the exhibition of photographic works, both from the huge heritage preserved in the city's museums, and from outside the city. Named after the famous photographer Tina Modotti (Udine, August 17, 1896 - Mexico City, January 5, 1942), the building, of seventeenth-century origins, was transformed in the mid-1920s by the municipal engineer Davide Badini (1897-1947) , according to a style that would trace the themes of the Tuscan Renaissance in a liberty key.
