The Gallery Tina Modotti is located in the historic center of Udine in the former Fish Market. The historic Art Nouveau building, home to the fish until the '90s, since 2009 the market has permanent space for the exhibition of photographic works from both by the huge heritage preserved in museums, both from out of town. Named after the famous photographer Tina Modotti (Udine, August 17, 1896 - Mexico City, January 5, 1942), the building, the seventeenth-century origins, was transformed in the mid-20s at the municipal engineer's work Badini David (1897-1947) , in a style that would follow issues of the Tuscan Renaissance art nouveau key.
