Fondazione 107 presents two new exhibitions for the autumn season which are added to the two solo shows by Sergio Ragalzi and Lucia Nazzaro , Il gusto dei canidi, paintings by Silvia Mei and Geografica , photographs by Turi Rapisarda .
Turi Rapisarda presents Geografica, an intense photographic work created in 1989 transported by the emotion that each of us had felt after the collapse of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War. map, the hand of man once again performs an action, draws boundaries, aggregates, disintegrates. It does so without taking into account the reasons of the peoples, roughly dissecting the territories without caring for the history, culture, traditions and slow transformations that have influenced the life of those who live in the territory. This is how the man's hand takes on a violent charge, squeezes the map, wrinkles it, writes on it, rewrites it, folds it, crumpled it up imprisoning it in a closed fist: it makes it unrecognizable.
History continues and the reasons of the peoples burn in conflicts that have never subsided and so that among the many wars in the world we arrive up to today. Turi Rapisarda with these photographic works focuses our attention on man, the power of man who can be aggregating or disintegrating.
