Beneath the Surface is the theme of the second edition of the Festival, organized by the Turin Culture Foundation, under the guidance of the artistic directors Menno Liauw and Salvatore Vitale, and promoted by the City of Turin, Piedmont Region, Turin Chamber of Commerce, Intesa Sanpaolo, Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, and CRT Foundation in synergy with the Foundation for Modern and Contemporary Art CRT. Twelve exhibitions, both solo and collective, featuring 16 artists from 12 countries (Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, Switzerland, United States, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Bolivia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Palestine), will be held in 7 prestigious exhibition venues (Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti, State Archives, CAMERA - Italian Center for Photography, Gallerie d'Italia - Turin, GAM - Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, OGR Turin, and Palazzo Carignano): these are the highlights of EXPOSED Turin Photo Festival, which presents an international overview of the latest trends in contemporary photography. The history, characters, and wine culture of the Langhe region are also told through the use of documents and archival materials: this is the focus of the exhibition "Olga Cafiero. Cultus Langarum," which will open on April 16 in the Project Room of CAMERA - Italian Center for Photography in Turin. The exhibition, supported by the Garesio winery, showcases the photographic series by Olga Cafiero, an Italian-Swiss photographer and winner of the first edition of the Garesio Wine Prize for Documentary Photography at Photo Elysée - Musée cantonale pour la photographie in Lausanne for the 2024 edition of Futures Photography, an international platform for emerging photography talents in which CAMERA is a partner along with other European institutions.
