The Autonomous Institute Villa Adriana and Villa d'Este - VILLÆ presents the third episode of ATELIER.IT. A viaticum in painting practices. From January 30 to April 6, 2025 at the Sanctuary of Hercules Victor in Tivoli, the exhibition offers a survey of Italian painting through the works of artists Andrea Astolfi, Giulio Catelli, Alessandro Finocchiaro, Andrea Grotto, Sebastiano Impellizzeri, Wu Julian, Beatrice Meoni, Enrico Pierotti, Chris Rocchegiani, and Qi Zhang, selected by Andrea Bruciati and Lorenza Boisi. In line with the ongoing investigation into contemporary artistic forms carried out by the Institute, with the aim of enhancing the most significant experiences, the exhibition is part of the Atelier.it project, conceived and curated by Director Andrea Bruciati, each time supported by renowned artists in the curation and selection of colleagues in the exhibition. After Francesco De Grandi and Stefano Arienti, the co-curator of the third event is the artist Lorenza Boisi. The curatorial dialogue between Andrea Bruciati and Lorenza Boisi provides a precise examination of contemporary Italian painting that allows for a critical reflection on its current state, through the exhibition of the ten artists on display. Selected for the first episode, co-curated by Francesco De Grandi, the artists Alessandro Aprile, Thomas Braida, Michele Cesaratto, Luca De Angelis, Roberto De Pinto, Leonardo Devito, Luisa Me, Elisabetta Marino, Luigi Presicce, and Andrea Respino. During the second event, with the co-curation of Stefano Arienti, on display are Simone Berti, Bea Bonafini, Cuoghi Corsello, Paolo Gonzato, Andrea Mastrovito, Edoardo Piermattei, Enrico Tealdi, Eva Chiara Trevisan, Vedovamazzei, and Serena Vestrucci.
