In the heart of the Limbara Park, the works of the artist from Dorgali intertwine memory, matter, and landscape. The protagonists of the installation are the Licuccos, biconical bodies that preserve in their form the reassuring echo of traditional silver buttons, the ancient sweetness of bread and holiday sweets: lying on the ground like a suggestive mineral beach and suspended among the branches, in balance between the weight of the earth and the lightness of the sky. Between the bark of the trees and the breath of the forest, Lai's clay artifacts cease to be simple objects to become living organisms: an invitation to rediscover, in the name of art, the sacred and indissoluble bond between man, memory, and the secret soul of the landscape.
