The Cabinet des Estampes et des Dessins is a Strasbourg museum. It preserves a large collection of drawings and engravings: more than 150,000 graphic works are part of it, covering a period of five centuries: from the fourteenth to the nineteenth century. The works in the collection cover a great variety of schools: there are Italian, German (with drawings by Durer, Baldung, Grien), French and Dutch schools. The present engravings are made with various techniques: etching, on wood, with burin or with lithography. Given the delicacy and preciousness of the works, the museum can only be visited by appointment: you can ask which works to consult, in order to prepare them and make their use possible in a special room.
