A photographic journey in the Trentino forests, among trees that smell of good wood and write fragile landscapes. The encounter between photographic art, landscape and ethnography is evocative at the Museum of Uses and Customs of the Trentino People in San Michele all'Adige where the exhibition “Forest Frame. The forest between dream and reality ”tells the Trentino woods through the lens of the internationally renowned Milanese photographer Maurizio Galimberti. Set up in the rooms of the Museum, in a sort of dialogue between the author's shots and the various technological chains present, the exhibition will be inaugurated on Wednesday 17 November at 5.30 pm. The inauguration will be attended by Ezio Amistadi and Lionello Zanella, President and Director of the Museum, Maurizio Galimberti, master of photographic art, Michele Lanzinger director of MUSE, Giorgio Fracalossi President of Cassa Centrale Banca, Mauro Mendini President of Cassa Rurale Rotaliana and Giovo, Clelia Sandri mayor of San Michele all'Adige.

The 26 works by Maurizio Galimberti investigate the relationship between nature and humanity and present a cross-section of Trentino of great emotion. With a decidedly poetic language, between trees broken by the fury of the storm and others that recall ancient suggestions, the master photographer proposes a sort of dreamlike journey, beyond time and space, portraying landscapes of the Trentino forests (Fiemme and Fassa, Valsugana, val di Non, Molveno, val di Cembra, di Arco). The protagonist of an emblematic shot specially made for the occasion of the exhibition at the Museum of San Michele is the Castle of Monreale: the manor is depicted in a sort of dreamlike vision, as if to create a fabric where weft and warp manifest the powerful emblems of the territory, the wood and the vine shoots, symbol of the Piana Rotaliana. In this way, the artist beautifully represents the context of the staging of the exhibition.

Galimberti defines his photography as “a single double shot”: the images on display are in fact real works of art with skilful games of overturning, recomposition, fragments, details that intertwine with each other, transmitting intimate and suggestive emotions.
