The Museum of Science and Archeology of Rovereto is located in the city center. The Museum is housed in Palazzo Parolari in Borgo Santa Caterina. The Museum was inaugurated in 1998 to enhance the city's history. The collection is the result of significant donations from the people of Rovereto. In particular, are part of the collection of reference objects botany, zoology, mineralogy, physics, archeology, the mechanical arts and the liberal arts. The historical collections led to the creation of the first construction. The rooms are dedicated to fossils, birds and minerals that make up some of the most important regional collections. The rooms dedicated to archeology tell the territory. In particular collections Paolo Orsi and Portinaro - Untersteiner with the ancient collection of Italic production vessels. The Museum is defined as "widespread" thanks to two additional venues such as the Observatory and the citadel of science at the City Park. The museum boasts many activities for families and schools, such as: visits to the paleontological sites of dinosaur footprints, one of the most important in Europe.
