Photographers Domingo Milella, Stefano Graziani, Rachele Maistrello, Giulia Parlato, and Luca Nostri were commissioned to photograph five underground infrastructures on four continents (in Italy, Argentina, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) – built by the Ghella company – intentionally leaving a poetic and non-didactic distance between the images and the construction sites. That distance is the space of research, the place to develop reflections on the imagery of large infrastructures and glimpse new storytelling possibilities.
