The project focuses on the character deeply connected to theater and performative actions that runs through Jannis Kounellis' entire research.

At the center of gallery 5, the work Senza titolo (Night), taking up the first experiments with the alphabet carried out in the 1950s, tells of the artist's distancing from any type of hierarchy of vision. The letters, like limbs of a body in movement, oscillate in space asking to be deciphered and, at the same time, observed as pure signs.

The opera Senza titolo (Nabucco) echoes, in a slowed down manner and with a dreamlike breath, the notes of the aria Va pensieronella Galleria which thus remains poised between scenic space and exhibition space.

At the end of the itinerary, a rearrangement of the work conceived by the artist for the cloister of San Lazzaro degli Armeni in Venice - at the head - plays on the tension between the materials: like a theatrical backdrop it remains suspended to indicate a passage and a tension between the interior and outside the museum.
