Exhibition Palace Rome

The Palazzo delle Esposizioni is the largest interdisciplinary exhibition space in the center of Rome. More than 10,000 square meters, spread over three floors, host cultural events, such as film festivals, editorial presentations, concerts, and offer services to visitors. In tune with what happens in the major European capitals, it is a space of culture and charm, capable of offering visitors high quality projects, excellent technological standards and attentive and modern guest reception policies. One of the most up-to-date cultural centers, in continuous and fruitful exchange with the most important international cultural institutions. Since 2000, the Palazzo delle Esposizioni has dedicated its attention to the great interpreters of the twentieth century who, using different languages and from different perspectives, have immortalized and interpreted the events of the short century: from Mark Rothko to Stanley Kubrick, from Mario Ceroli to Bill Viola, from Giorgio de Chirico to Alexander Calder, from Sol Lewitt to Enrico Baj, from Studio Azzurro to Julian Rosefeldt, passing through the exponents of the American avant-garde and those of socialist realism. Much attention has been dedicated to the privileged gaze of the last hundred years, that of photography: we highlight the exhibitions dedicated to James Nachtwey, Gregory Crewdson, Alfred Stieglitz, David Lachapelle, Gianno Berengo Gardin, Jacques-Henri Lartigue, Robert Doisneau, Herb Ritts, to the photographers of National Geographic and World Press Photo, Mimmo Jodice, Helmut Newton, Claudio Abate, and to the great reportages that have given us images of history, from the Mexican Revolution to the Prague Spring. From 1927 to 2004 it was home to the offices and exhibitions of the Rome Quadrennial and remains the privileged venue for the exhibitions of the Art Quadrennial.
