The Markets of Trajan are an archaeological complex of uniqueness in Rome, perhaps even in the world; in fact they represent a "neighborhood" that has lived the evolution of the city from the imperial age to the present day, constantly recycled and transformed the strategic administrative center of the Imperial Forum, a noble residence, a military fortress, a prestigious convent, in barracks in a constant evolution, which has gone through architectural changes and the signs of the various "hands" that in different eras have adapted the complex to the various functions, to come up to us and begun a new "season" of life. Housed in Trajan's Market, the Museum of the Imperial Forums in Rome is both an archaeological museum with an exceptional historical site Romano and is part of the System of Shared museums, civic museums of Rome Capital. The museum illustrates the ancient architecture of the Imperial Forums and their architectural and sculptural decoration. They are regularly temporary exhibitions.
