The Rivoli Castle Museum of Contemporary Art presents Domani torno, a comprehensive retrospective dedicated to Enrico David (Ancona, 1966), curated by Marianna Vecellio. The exhibition offers a detailed overview of the artist's research, spanning painting, textile works, drawing, sculpture, and environmental installations, exploring the inner dimension of contemporary human existence.

Specially designed for the Manica Lunga, the exhibition path alternates between figuration and abstraction, focusing on the body as a metaphor for transformation. In a setting that evokes theatrical scenography and design displays, the exhibition retraces the stages of David's production, including new works created for the occasion. Domani torno is a personal and artistic narrative: from his origins in Ancona to his move to London in 1986, the exhibition follows the birth of a practice based on the search for a linguistic space in which to exist. Through different media, David addresses the human figure as a site of metamorphosis and reflection. In this journey, drawing plays a central role as a language capable of bringing the others together, as the artist states, "the space of dreams and the space of drawing are infinite".

Many works arise from the need to process traumatic experiences, such as the sudden loss of the father. "Creativity is for me an opportunity to change the circumstances of pain - says David - a redemption, a destination other than feeling bad. Art is what makes reality more livable". From the late nineties, David's installations become true interdisciplinary worlds: visionary stages that intertwine news, memory, popular culture, and theatrical rhetoric. Examples of this are works like Madreperlage (2003), Absuction Cardigan (2009), and Ultra Paste (2007), where the artist stages scenic devices full of emotional and symbolic tension.
