The Rindal Skimuseum, located at Rindalsvegen 40, Rindal (Trøndelag), is the Norwegian national museum of skiing and craftsmanship, part of the Orkla Industrimuseum and the Museums of Sør-Trøndelag.
The central collection, known as the Landsem Collection, documents the history of ski making from kitchen table to industry: it includes skis, machinery, patents, photographs, documents, and trophies signed by Olympic athletes such as Magne Myrmo, Oddvar Brå, and other champions who have used Landsem skis. The permanent exhibition includes skis from over 30 Norwegian factories, highlighting the tradition of wood and the transition to fiberglass.
The museum is located within an authentic rural complex with 15 historic buildings, including stabbur, smie, trønderlån, and an old 18th-century farm renovated with modern elements. Opened as a ski museum in 2014, the main building is an architectural mix of historical and contemporary, designed by architect Inger Anne Landsem.
Throughout the year, the museum organizes events such as the Wooden Ski Festival (treskifestival), wooden ski manufacturing workshops, traditional ski rentals, guided tours, and summer activities for families. During the 2025 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim, the museum hosted the "VM-fest", with themed cafes, live broadcasts on big screens, and illuminated ski slopes.
