Museum of the History of Genoa CFC

The Museum of the History of Genoa CFC is dedicated to the history of the Genoa Cricket and Football Club , the oldest club in Italy .

Opened on 5 June 2009 in the spaces previously occupied by the historic Genoese newspaper Il Lavoro directed by Sandro Pertini in Salita Dinegro number 7. The museum has also obtained recognition of significant cultural interest for its historical-documentary content from the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities .

In June 2013 the new headquarters, the "Genoa Museum and Store" was inaugurated inside the Palazzina del Cinquecento San Giobatta near the Porto Antico.

The new headquarters distributed over three levels for a total of over 500 m² with ten exhibition rooms, is the main official sales point of the Genoa CFC Company and the Ticket Office.

The exhibition itinerary is thematic and chronological : through two centuries of history, it connects sport, culture and society , thanks to exciting interactive and multimedia installations and hundreds of memorabilia, trophies, documents and photographs . In recent years the Museum has conceived, created and presented a long series of exhibitions, conferences, events, historical re-enactments, films, thematic meetings and books .

Since 2019, the Museum of the History of Genoa CFC has been a member of the International Sports Football Museum Association, an organization that brings together the most important Sports Museums from around the world.
