The show

140 works by great interpreters of 20th century and contemporary art – from Paul Klee , Max Ernst , Alberto Giacometti , Jean Dubuffet to Hans Hartung and Anselm Kiefer , from Antonio Ligabue , Pietro Ghizzardi , Cesare Zavattini to Maria Lai, Alighiero Boetti , Emilio Isgrò , Carla Accardi – to investigate, as never before, "The Restless Art".

At Palazzo Magnani, from 18 November 2022 to 12 March 2023, an unprecedented sequence of masterpieces by great interpreters, including international and Italian art brut . Next to them, for the first time, the unpublished creations that come from the Archives of San Lazzaro, the one that was the "madhouse" of Reggio Emilia.

At the heart of this exhibition, the works reveal the creative urgency and vitality of the languages of art, necessary for the exploration of the infinite faces and expressions of human identity.

An exhibition - this one curated by Giorgio Bedoni, Johann Feilacher and Claudio Spadoni - where the creative impulse of the artists emerges, resulting in unique works that surprise, amaze and involve the visitor.

In each of the thematic rooms of this major exhibition, authors and works confront each other by affinity of genres and languages in an exhibition itinerary that investigates the burning vitality of the artist, his restless search for identity, suspended between gazes on history and the exploration of inner landscapes.
