Since childhood Maria Lai shows a strong artistic talent and has the opportunity, albeit fortuitous, to have contact with the world of art. In 1971 she exhibited the first Looms, a cycle that characterized the following ten years and brought her closer to the themes of poor art, while in the Eighties she dedicated herself to the first operations in the territory that would be worth the most significant results of her work.
