The Beniamino Gigli Museum

The Beniamino Gigli Museum is located in the historic center of the city of Recanati. The Museum is located inside the Sala dei Trenta of the Persiani Theater and is dedicated to the great internationally renowned tenor from Recanati. The setting is made possible thanks to the generous donation of Gigli's heirs who made available numerous stage costumes, memorabilia, photographs, letters, documents and objects that belonged to the tenor. The Museum hosts a rich press review made up of articles and reviews dedicated to him by newspapers around the world, his complete discography and numerous honors and awards obtained by the tenor in his forty-year career. In addition to the precious and elegant costumes, the museum houses a faithful reconstruction of the dressing room with the tricks of the tenor: the Official Proclamation Beniamino Gigli Day that the city of New York dedicated to him on 8 October 1997 at the Metropolitan, the photo with dedication original by Maestro Arturo Toscanini and other important documents. In the main hall, a space has been set up where visitors can follow, sitting on old restored cinema chairs, the story of the life of one of the public's most loved opera singers.
