Music Museum Beniamino Gigli Museum

The Music Museum / Beniamino Gigli Museum was born as a strongly identifying expression of a territory closely linked to the world of sound and music. Inside, in fact, numerous instruments made in the district of the local music industry are exhibited, which have made the history of music and sound in Italy and around the world yesterday and today. Partners of the project are the companies from Recanati Fbt, Fatar, Castagnari, Eko and the Pigini Group, companies that have provided their own materials essential for the set-up. Between tradition and innovation, the Recanati Music Museum also represents a further tribute to the figure of the tenor Beniamino Gigli, an illustrious citizen of Recanati and an internationally renowned figure. Inside it is possible to admire numerous stage costumes, objects, memorabilia, photographs, letters and documents that belonged to the tenor; in addition to the precious and elegant stage costumes, inside the Museum it is also possible to admire a faithful reconstruction of the dressing room with the tricks of the tenor, the Official Proclamation Beniamino Gigli Day that the city of New York dedicated to him on 8 October 1997 to Metropolitan, the photo with original dedication by Maestro Arturo Toscanini and other important documents.
