THE FIGURES SECRET BEHIND THE WORDS

works by Hadeel Azeez

Organized by the Orestiadi Foundation of Gibellina

As Giorgio de Finis writes, in his presentation text of the works:
Fluid, gaseous, metamorphic forms that remain such despite the still image of the drawing.
In the works of Hadeel Azeez everything flows, one never gets wet in the same river, at the same time, in the same thought… forms that resemble other forms where it is possible to glimpse familiar images by resemblance and opposition. Hadeel freezes particles, dust, currents, flocks, shoals, so that they can be contemplated, but without this operation of separating ( typical of a knowledge that divides and isolates) involves the renunciation of considering oneself part of this flow as a counter-altar. There is an attempt to make known the incommensurable paradigms of East and West, two worlds that the artist has metabolized and "mixed" and which fade, too - like everything else - into one another, without borders, physical and categorical. Hadeel's works already inhabit a world that has rethought the relationships between different cultures, that between the human and other forms of life, between life and matter. A world that no longer sees us at the center of all things, a sea where it is sweet to be shipwrecked.
