Built from the merging of several house-towers in the sixteenth century, Palazzo Baldeschi is made of terracotta and sandstone. Inside, on the ground floor, you can find TrasiMemo, the Memory Bank of Trasimeno. It is a project of cultural innovation where the memories of ancient knowledge and artisanal practices are staged not as a legacy of the past but as a constitutive element of cohesion for local communities. Visitors are welcomed by the stories and direct testimonies of the protagonists, prompting reflections on the territorial potentials and forms of future local development.
The aim of TrasiMemo is to promote glimpses of "culture" of the twentieth century through the enjoyment of an "immersive" reality that enhances productive and artisanal activities linked to traditions of yesterday and today: objects and knowledge from the past and present practices, artisans' tools, dialogue among themselves through the voices of the protagonists. TrasiMemo is not a space of conservation, filled with objects on display, which collects and preserves in order to "contemplate" an idealized past, but it is instead an open, collaborative, interactive space where the "exhibited" heritage, composed of memories, personal and family memories, testimonies, revitalizes to look towards the future.
From the garden of the palace, rich in flowers and aromatic plants, you can admire a beautiful view of Lake Trasimeno and the Polvese Island.
