The Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro is located inside the Naples Cathedral, in the heart of the historic center.

The Chapel of San Gennaro and the Treasure narrate the roots of Naples, its ancient civilization, its popular culture, and the devotion to the Patron Saint. The Treasure, in addition to the Relics, houses an invaluable heritage of objects of worship and devotion in gold, silver, bronze, and precious stones. Over the centuries, these riches have been donated to San Gennaro by members of the Deputation of the Royal Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro, by the Neapolitan and foreign sovereigns who have reigned or visited Naples, by the popes, and by the people.

The Chapel and the Sacristies are also among the most important monuments of Neapolitan Baroque.
