The Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro is located in the Cathedral of Naples, in the historic center. The chapel was dedicated to the patron saint and patron of the city and preserve the treasures and reliquaries created in honor of the saint. King Robert of Anjou 700 years ago wanted the ampoules with the blood were embedded in a reliquary: a precious casket made of gilded silver. Also very important are the frescoes by Giovanni Lanfranco and Jusepe de Ribera.
