The Pinacoteca

The exhibition of Pinacoteca of the Sforzesco Castle provides an itinerary that focuses on the main themes of Lombard painting from the midà the fifteenth century to the dawn of Neoclassicism. Furthermore, they propose two significant groups of Venetian painting area and a small but choice of necklace Flemish-Dutch paintings of the seventeenth century. In the path of the Art Gallery, wooden reliefs carved , marble statues , terracotta busts and a number of Medals ( Civic Numismatic and Medagliere) combine to suggest the poetic dell’ art through the various types and different material supports. L’ exhibition of the Art Gallery makes use of large blades d’ altar, devotional paintings, altarpieces and miniatures made by Lombard masters often innovators in painting technique and the personal interpretation of religious and profane themes. Some personalityà supranational level qualify the path with all-important paintings in the history of’ art:  Madonna Enthroned with Saints   signed by  Andrea Mantegna   in 1497 the  Portrait of Lorenzo Lenz   portrayed by  Bronzino   around 1525 and, again, works of  Correggio,   Titian   and  Tintoretto   which hand down the faces of famous people. In the Pinacoteca heritage are preserved entire mural cycles of frescoes or saved by religious buildings and private buildings, destroyed by war or demolished.
