The Museum Martinnitt and Stelline Stelline is located in the palace and headquarters of the Fondazione Stelline. The stars were an antique Milanese institution for orphans, as well as Martinitt in Milanese dialect. Inside the museum the historical archives and the library are available has more than twenty thousand volumes. The museum houses an important historical collection - over 500 years of artistic Milan charity in the form of pictorial portraits. The museum is unique in its kind for the themes, placing at center stage the welcome the city's history. The Museum is open to all: students, families, students or amateurs who want to learn about childhood reading two hundred years ago. The museum commemorates all those environments that were used to welcome the orphans, thanks to the exhibition of historical documents, videos projected on the walls and original furniture.
