Triennale Milano, which celebrates its centenary in 2023, is an international institution that brings together the languages of contemporary culture: design, architecture, visual and performing arts. A place of exchange and dialogue between art and design, creativity and technology, tradition and innovation.
Triennale presents the projects of leading Italian and international architects, designers, artists; organizes exhibitions, meetings, conferences, shows; proposes new points of view on the central themes of current affairs and public debate.
Triennale is based in Milan in the Palazzo dell'Arte, built in 1933 by the Milanese architect Giovanni Muzio and designed as a modular and flexible building. Inside there is a Theater, with an international and multidisciplinary program particularly focused on performing art, and, since 2019, the Museum of Italian Design, created with the aim of promoting and enhancing the permanent collection of the Institution, which brings together 1,600 objects among the most iconic and representative pieces of Italian design.
Every three years, Triennale Milano organizes the International Exhibition, one of the most important events dedicated to design and architecture. The 24th Triennale Milano International Exhibition will take place in 2025.
