The Luciana Matalon Foundation is pleased to host, from 13 to 23 January 2024, the final exhibition of the “YICCA 23/24” contemporary art competition.
The exhibition presents the works of 17 finalist artists: Agata Borowska – Poland, Alessandro Alghisi – Italy, Anna Salenko – Hong Kong, Arianna Maccagnola – Italy, Bekim Hasaj – Finland, CHiNGLiSH WANG – Taiwan, George & Przemyslaw – Germany, Giulia Barone – Italy, Giulia Lucrezia Santambrogio – Italy, HANNAZ – South Korea, Lloyd Tabing – Sweden, Luigi M. Verde – Italy, Nanying Zhu – United Kingdom, Ruoyu Gong – China, Simone Miccichè – Italy, Takuma Shiratani – Japan, Yoshiyuki Katayama – Japan .
Each artist, through different means, investigates the multifaceted perspectives and nuances of the human being, showing new innovative concepts. The works of the various artists included in this exhibition resonate with major contemporary cultural, economic and political realities experienced as part of everyday life and through current society.
This exhibition traces the emerging trends of contemporary art, embracing different generations whose practices cross the various disciplines of artistic creation.
