Atelier Pharaildis Van den Broeck archive is pleased to present PROJECT ROOM # 8 from September 25th to November 25, 2023. Alice Pedroletti And Lucia Veronesi they focused their research on physical spaces of the Atelier Archive e on the folders and materials that Pharaildis Van den Broeck created during the its activity of a painter. After several visits the two artists have identified some elements that characterize the language Arts stic of the fashion designer e artist Belgian, providing with their site specific intervention a reflection on the labile border between words , image and matter .

Lucia Veronesi, starting from some writings by Pharaildis Van den Broeck in which Italian, Flemish, English mix in semantic results bizarre and mysterious, recomposes , through embroidery, intricate textile patterns, in which visual abstraction prevails over the meaning of word , creating a new vocabulary of with concepts and symbols . Alice Pedroletti instead focuses on paper, material that Van den Broeck often used , and creates a sampling of two-dimensional sculptures, experimenting with the technique of paper making . Word, printed image and materials of large production scale are recombined in an iridescent, fragile and evocative material.

The Project Room # 8 as usual it is accompanied by the publication of a booklet at ir limited ature in 200 copies created based on a graphic design by Emiliano B iondelli. In continuity with the Project Room program started in 2019, the opening project is also this year of the Atelier Pharaildis Van den Broeck Archive, conceived and coordinated by the archive curator Barbara Garatti, aims from one side to valo raise and make the work known of the artist and on the other to promote new ones research and production methodologies of art the contemporary visuals, in line with the mission of Committee for the Archive Atelier Pharaildis Van den Broeck.
