Mommie dearest is the first solo exhibition in Italy by the artist Jasmine Gregory , which takes place at the Istituto Svizzero in Milan. Young emerging artist, for this exhibition, Jasmine Gregory presents a series of new paintings and a work that is placed at the intersection between sculpture and ' ready-made' . Working mainly with painting, the artist confronts Western iconography and history of art from a critical perspective. On these premises, Jasmine Gregory explores her role as a young painter in a practice that combines, with fluidity and irony, pop cultural references with contemporary critical theory.

Jasmine Gregory (born 1987) is an artist who lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland. His work develops in a series of motifs, artistic gestures and assemblages that explore the tensions of artistic production, the history of painting and subjectivity in the way it circulates in institutional and commercial contexts. Recent group exhibitions include Werkschau Kanton Zürich 2021 at Haus Konstruktiv (Zurich), Art For Black Lives, Round 4 (Online Exhibition), FOTOROMANZA in Le Commun (Geneva), Sommer des Zögerns at Kunsthalle Zürich (Zurich). Recent solo shows include Home Improvements, Park View with Paul Soto (Brussels) and Trouble at Casa Amor, Karma International (Zurich).

The inauguration will be accompanied by the sound of ALIENI (TOMBOYS DON'T CRY), from H19: 00 to H20: 00. Drinks available.
