Fondazione ICA Milano, directed by Alberto Salvadori, presents two new exhibition projects that open to the public in the spaces of Via Orobia from Wednesday 10 April to Friday 19 July 2024. At the same time, the first floor inaugurates the personal exhibition La Casa Dentro by Formafantasma, curated by Alberto Salvadori.

The exhibition project presents a corpus of works specifically conceived for the occasion thanks to which themes of personal identity and its relationship with collective memory are explored. The selection of furniture and light objects created for the ICA Milan Foundation critically addresses both the design and conceptual legacy of modernism, highlighting its roots linked to a strongly conservative idea, imbued with strong masculinity. In a dialogue between architectural ideology and the lived experience of the domestic environment, made of humble and decorative objects, Formafantasma explores the dynamics that lead to the imposition of a canon by placing it in relation to the sense of nostalgia that derives from what has been lost. The reflection and proposal of the designers propose a vision aimed towards the future, exceeding the established canons and in the absence of retromania.
