On the occasion of the Centenary of the birth of Rachele Bianchi (Milan, 1925 – 2018), the Archive presents Figure Form. 100 years of Rachele Bianchi, a major anthological exhibition that, through about a hundred works, retraces the entire creative path of the artist. The exhibition is set up in the spaces of Palazzo Pirelli, home of the Lombardy Regional Council, and will be open to the public from January 14 to February 6, 2026. The exhibition is co-curated by Erika Lacava and the Rachele Bianchi Archive.
The posthumous anthology covers over seventy years of inexhaustible artistic research, offering an immersive journey into the evolution of Rachele Bianchi's language. From the early experiments to full expressive maturity, the path highlights the centrality of the figure and the progressive emergence of form as a space of thought, tension, and relationship. A narrative that reflects the depth of the themes that have permeated the artist's entire production: the body, motherhood, identity, silence, human presence in space.
As part of the exhibition, on Tuesday, January 21 at 3:30 pm, at Palazzo Pirelli, the art historian Elisabetta Parente will hold a press conference titled "The sculpture 'living language'. Rachele Bianchi and the art of the 20th century." A catalog published by Nomos Edizioni will accompany the exhibition.
