From February 28 to March 29, 2025, the Luciana Matalon Foundation presents Visual Archipelagos, an exhibition dedicated to the artists of the Italian Art Encyclopedia. The exhibition, articulated in three distinct yet intertwined paths, invites us to explore the role of art as a critical and poetic medium, capable of questioning not only our relationship with the world, but also with ourselves.

The exhibitions, organized by the Italian Art Encyclopedia and hosted in the elegant and prestigious spaces of the Luciana Matalon Foundation, juxtapose the collective Glimpses of Author 2025, which brings together eleven creative expressions of contemporary art, with the two solo exhibitions of the painter Nicol Ferrari and the sculptor Roberto Fiasella.

Visual Archipelagos represents a shared reflection on the role of perception as a creative act. As philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty (Rochefort, 1908 - Paris, 1961) reminds us, seeing is never a passive process, but an experience that intertwines body, thought, and memory. Similarly, the artists gathered in the collective Glimpses of Author 2025 - visitable from February 28 to March 7 - explore their interiority with their creative gaze.

The selected artists, Roberta Bissoli, Giorgio Carluccio, Laura Casini, Drago Cerchiari, Elisa Macaluso, Peter Seeling, Carla Colombo Sala, Enza De Paolis, Claudio Detto, Jucci Ugolotti, and Marco A. Vignati, offer a personal vision through a rich multidisciplinary expressive system ranging from photography to painting, from sculpture to installation. This results in a broad panorama of contemporary expressive alphabet, amplified by the ideal dialogue between Italian and foreign artists (Peter Seeling and Laura Casini).

The exhibition also represents the opportunity to officially inaugurate the exhibition and editorial activities of the Italian Art Encyclopedia, which in this context will present the new printed volume, the thirteenth edition, on February 28, featuring a recent work by the sculptor Renzo Eusebi on the cover.
