The Collecion of the Ruso Museum in Malaga is a seat of the Russian State Museum in St. Petersburg. The city of Malaga was chosen as the first Western European location for the Russian museum. The Tabacalera building was chosen as the venue, the spaces of which were organized to house the collection. Here, in fact, a series of long-lasting exhibitions are hosted annually that tell the complex and fascinating history of Russian art and its changing relationship with European culture, as well as offering interesting temporary exhibitions. Artists of the permanent collection are Kandinsky, Malevich, Brulov and many others.

The cultural offer of the museum does not end with the art collections. The center also has a small auditorium, three projection rooms, workshops for children, a reading room with reference books and a seat of the Virtual Museum connected to more than one hundred places around the world. These facilities make it possible to offer a monthly program of lectures, films, literary readings, classical music and folklore that make this Malaga venue a window through which to see the soul of Russia.
