The Center de Pompidou in Malaga was inaugurated in 2015 and is a branch of the homonymous and very famous Parisian institution.

The Center Pompidou Málaga is housed in the iconic building known as "El Cubo" on which the artist Daniel Buren intervened and has become a symbol of the city.

The Center Pompidou Málaga presents a collection that is a real journey around the art of the 20th and 21st centuries.

The permanent collection includes the masterpieces of the French museum by artists such as: Francis Bacon, Georg Baselitz, ConstantinBrâncuşi, Alexander Calder, Marc Chagall, Giorgio de Chirico, Max Ernst, Alberto Giacometti, Jean Helion, Frida Kahlo, FernandLéger, René Magritte, Joan Miró , Francis Picabia, Pablo Picasso, Antoni Tapies, Jean Tinguely and Kees Van Dongenqui.

The artistic itinerary is divided into five main themes: the metamorphosis, the body in pieces, the political body, the self-portraits and the faceless man.

Temporary exhibitions, dance shows, performances, concerts, cinema, conferences, workshops and mediation programs are also organized annually at the Center de Pompidou in Malaga.
