Inaugurated in 2000, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Lissone is conceived according to the most modern exhibition techniques; the result of a reinterpretation of the rationalist architecture already present in Brianza, the building is characterized by the relationship of continuous alternation between internal and external space. The building collects works by the most accredited contemporary painters, Italian and foreign, awarded and purchased during the years of the "Lissone Prize" (1946-1967): Valerio Adami, Karel Appel, Renato Birolli, Mark Boyle, Horia Damian, Piero Dorazio, François Dufrêne, Luis Feito, Peter Klasen, André Marfaing, Mattia Moreni, Edo Murtić, Mario Schifano, Gérard Schneider, Antoni Tàpies, Emilio Vedova and other masters. In addition to enhancing the historical collection, the museum promotes cycles of contemporary art and design exhibitions , among which the new "Lissone Prize" stands out from some editions.
