MUST - City of Lecce Historical Museum is located in the historic center of the city. The Museum is located in a 15th century monastery. The MUST was born as a project to promote and enhance the city's museum collections to people with visual disabilities. Thanks to a participatory action and with the audio descriptions of the permanent collection, the visitor can actively participate in the visit. The Museum deals with retracing the identity aspects of the City of Lecce through temporary exhibitions. The MUST hosts permanent exhibitions including the works of the Salento sculptor Cosimo Carlucci, the photographic exhibition of the American artist Jenny Okun and a contemporary art collective - De Sculptura - (sculpture) by artists from the Apulian territory, with works created in the last 50 years . In the MUST there is also a Living lab and numerous temporary exhibitions that enrich the cultural offer of the Museum throughout the year.
