The Vincenzo Bindi Civic Art Gallery is located in the historic center of Giulianova, in the province of Teramo. The picture gallery was born following an important donation by the jurist and historian Vincenzo Bindi who left it entirely to the Municipality. The donation is housed inside the building along Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi with over 400 works of art, which originally corresponded to the residence of Bindi. The art gallery was opened to the public in 1978 inside Vincenzo Bindi's apartment. The collection consists of the preserved paintings, furnishings and over 5,000 volumes from the library. The main nucleus of works consists of the Posillipo School, the paintings of Giacinto Gigante, Teodoro Duclère, Consalvo Carelli, Raffaele Carelli and Anton Sminck van Pitloo. To these works are also added the Abruzzo painters: Francesco Paolo Michetti, Nicola Palizzi, Giuseppe Bonolis, Raffaello Pagliacetti and many others. The collection is embellished with Capodimonte ceramics, sculptures and a section of Risorgimento autographs and nineteenth-century writers and writers.
