The Caricature Museum is a comic book museum in Frankfurt. Opened in 2008, the museum intends to celebrate and continue the importance of satire in a city like Frankfurt, home to major satirical magazines such as Pardon and Titanic. The museum collection shows the works of FW Bernstein, Robert Gernhardt, Chlodwig Poth, Hans Traxler and FK Waechter, the five designers who, together with the authors Bernd Eilert, Eckhard Henscheid and Peter Knorr, make up the current Neue Frankfurter Schule (which has inherited the satirical newspaper "Pardon"). The museum also sets up temporary exhibitions to celebrate other well-known representatives of German and international satirical drawing. Additional live events such as book readings and presentations and comedy cabaret plays are also organized.
