Accepted the Artsupp Card
From June 28th to November 30th, the 63rd Faenza Prize can be visited at MIC Faenza, the historic International Biennial of Contemporary Art Ceramics, among the most important and recognized in the world in the sector.
In Faenza, it will be possible to have an up-to-date vision of the international contemporary artistic panorama linked to ceramics, a plastic material that has been receiving great attention in recent years. A unique opportunity to admire works that come from all over the world: from China and Korea to South America.
There are over a hundred artists selected by the international jury composed of Claudia Casali (Director of MIC Faenza), Hyeyoung Cho (Korea Association of Art & Design), Valentins Petjko (Latvian Ceramic Biennale), and Marco Maria Polloniato (curator) from all over the world who have chosen ceramics as the main means to express their poetic.
The selected artists, divided into two categories, one young (under 35) and one senior (over 35), come from 41 different countries and cultures.
The Faenza Prize, with over 80 years of history, has been from the beginning an important moment in the enhancement, renewal, and promotion of ceramics both in terms of artistic and decorative aspects, as well as in functional and furnishing aspects, but also and above all a way to map the state of contemporary ceramic art.
